Just picked up my first Porsche - Guards Red 944 S2!

thanks for the welcome guys.

I have both those days in the diary so hope to make both. Should be good.

I am sure I will annoy everyone with lots of questions in the near future so be prepared [;)]. You guys sounds like you know the 944 inside out!

Hi Andrew and welcome!
I am a relative newcomer, I have had my turbo in shimmering guards pink for 5 months now and still sometimes pop the headlights up instead of using the flasher..(is that sad of me?) the other thing I love is the view of the haunches in the mirrors....

The impact the car has is way beyond what I paid for it, it is probably the cheapest car on the school run, but it is certainly a coversation piece with the guys in their Aston's, Fezzas and other porkers that cost 10-30 times what I paid for mine!

Hi from me as well Andrew. I got my first 944 about 18 months ago and got one with limited history, and last week it started making a noisy and expensive rattle. It turned out to be an expensive noisy rattle. Exhaust cam with missing teeth etc. Good to see that yours has some history. My 'new' S2 has history so hopefully won't go the same way...

Red like yours as well. Don't live in the Big City though - up ere int north.

great to see there are other new comers to the 944 stable.

agree...i did notice the haunches in the rear view...and the old school blue backlight of the dash....cool...

great thing as well is i am at least 6'4 and I fit easy... plus its making the Boxster parked next to me in the garage...look...frankly quite second rate (IMO) [:D]
