JZ Machtech 964RS VISIT 2004.........

Yes it was a great turnout of about 12 RS,s. Thanks to Jonas, Steve and staff for the excellent food and all their advice, and to the guys who worked on the cars. My suspicions were confirmed after Chris Boys completed alignment check. Left front needs tweeking after jumping the curb exiting the Ace Cafe north bound onto the Circular in the dark. It is very hard to see and I know I am not the first to do it. Overall my car got a positve result not to much wrong with it. I will booking in to JZ for the alignment sorting out.

Top day chasps -thanx for making the effort to come along form long distances. Thanx to Des for arranging this and also the JZM crew -I knew I shouldn't have had breakfast before I went out!!

Sorry I didn't get a chance to speak to everybody.

A select few carried on to the De Havilland Heritage Museum after -well worth a visit if you are into old(ish) planes.

Thanks to Des and JZ too from me. JZ have a smashing set up there and are a friendly bunch to boot, I had a word with Jonas and Steve and I'm optimistic that they will contribute some articles to the newly set up 'Tech Articles' section of the forum.

......'Tech Articles'.......

Ooops!! I just skim read that as 'Testicles'......oh well, I'll go and walk the dog[&o]

Reminds me of when my dad was working for LEB and the Test Department was changed to the Technical Department -you can imagine what they became known as.....

Hi guys,

Just to note agreement with everybody else - an interesting day and a great opportunity to put more faces to well-known names. It was useful and interesting to meet Jonas and many of the crew at JZ and it just goes that extra mile to build on the confidence that these guys just KNOW what they're doing with these "old" cars.

Thanks to Des for arranging it, Alan et al for waiting for my late arrival at Toddington and, of course, Jonas for putting up with us all.

'Til the next time.

Regards

Dave.

Thanks Des - great day. Nice to see everyone again.

Roll on Donington ...............

Thanks to Des and the organisers.
Really nice to meet some "names" from the forum. Pity that Claire and I turned up too late to meet those that had already left (but we caught up with Domster in the evening!)

Nice to see so many 964RS's in one place. Very impressive.

Thanks also to Pilot Officer Melv for the De Havilland museum visit. Fascinating stuff, and fun to see Mel kicking the little kids out of the cockpits so that he could sit there making machine-gun noises[;)]

Seriously, thanks Mel - it was a great afternoon.

(OK I made the bit up about kicking the kids out and the noises[;)])
