To be honest, thats a bit poor from Carlo/Knockhill - he's a club member and being singled out by Carlo. Should we collectively be telling Carlo that we're not interested as lets not kid ourselves on that this is a great day out for us - its a big benefit to Knockhill and if Carlo is organising it we're effectively doing him a favour. Reviewing the pictures from last year the majority of the cars on display were from the club, and 95% of those on track were from the club - it'll make a bit of a poor track display if the club didn't support this.

I feel this is a bit discriminatory against Gordon and if he isn't allowed the club should support him and withdraw.

Greig,

to clarify, and i dont particularly like airing dirty washing in public but as you are posting this up on the public forum then I will respond.

this started with Carlo asking me and a couple of others to attend a few years back, it wasnt a club thing, it was before i was RO and it was when myself, kevin and inky had ferraris and lambo, it was nothing to do with porsche or PCGB. Carlo simply wanted some more top end cars for track.

It has moved on from that in that as opposed to a couple of slots I can ask whoever I like to attend, it doesnt have to be PCGB,

You all know the history of gordon on track and i have previously been told not to ask gordon and have asked since that intial time to be told that they dont want people who drive aggresively on track. This is not my fault or anyones in the club.

Yes it is probably unfair, but why should everyone else in the club lose the opportunity of a free pass, free lunch and free track time because one person misbehaved and was subsequently told not to come back !

I have now Gordon on the phone, saying he is leaving the club and will report this to the club and knockhill,

Can I make this perfectly clear. this is not a official PCGB event. It is a knockhill event supported by Top Gear and I have the opportunity to invite whoever I like to attend, its unfortunate that Gordon fell out with Carlo and its up to Gordon to rectify that himself. Gordons personal relationship with Carlo should be dealt with by himself and he should not be using the club as some sort of pawn in it all.

Gordon is an asset to the club, he organises lots of track stuff and spends I am sure lots of time sorting out the Ring and Spa etc and i and everyone else that attend appreciate that, but I cant be seen to use the club to fight personal greivences that Gordon has.

I will speak to Carlo again and see if I can reslove this for the sake of Gordon.

regards
Scott.
