Is there anyone who takes part in track days at Knockhill who can give me any advice on brake pads? I have been following the thread on the 3.2 forum but wanted info on Knockhill

Hi Neill, I use standard Porsche pads at Knockhill and find they work well. I have a narrow-bodied 3.2 Carrera though. Yours is a Supersport, which has the big brakes, as fitted to 928, 964, 944 Turbo. As long as you have plenty of meat on the pads and you use something like ATE Racing Blue brake fluid, they should work well. Cooling is the most important thing. Boiling brake fluid is more of a problem than inadequate pads.

Have you participated in any of the Knockhill Track-nights yet?

Hi Malcolm, Thanks for that, I will check all the pads and then do a change of fluid. I was up at the last track night (out in the not so slow novice group) I really enjoyed it[:)] but picked up way to many stone chips and don' t think I' ll do it again untill I get an old 44 or something[8D]

So you' re suggesting that it' s acceptable for an " old 44" to get stone chips then?
Cheeky!! [8D]

It was shut on Sunday evening but I did wonder why lanes coming from Kincardine were laid out as if the slip road was/had been open

That's why I would never go to one of these events.

Never seen that kind of thing, let alone any type of shunt at any of the usual Porsche biased days.
