Le Mans 08 PCGB Campsite and region Convoy

oh dear....

am more worried about how much tent space there is - i talk in my sleep!!!
are there any nice hotels near by? [:D]

Well it depends what kind of things you talk about....

If it includes things such as...'Death to the non-believer..we must wipe them out', or classics such as 'I wish people knew I was really a man in drag', then I think it would be best to get a hotel [8D]...otherwise forget about it, the campsite is supposed to be a great laugh, and no-one really sleeps much anyway [:)]

Hi Kish,
I've done it today, finally paid the final amount to TD and have booked on the 8.20 on 12th Thursday but will be coming back on the 21st after a little mooch of France. Has anyone got any suggestions on where to go and any good driving roads etc.

Thanks..................Adam

Hi Stuart,
Sorry for the delay in replying; as Chris just posted we only spend a day in Reims town (well, half a day) and visited the Mumm's Champagne house. For a English speaking tour you should book a day ahead or at least call in first to find out the time the English tour is schedule for the day. There are several vineyards tours in the area, we didn't visit any Vineyards so someone else may be able to recommend...

Our trip was excellent, here are the photos just in case you missed the thread:

See you at Ace,

Hi Kish

You mentioned when we were chatting at Fat Buoys that I should get in touch let you know that we are coming to Le Mans vith Travel Destinations. We are a small convoy of my 964 and a 996 turbo and we're going to be about 90 mins behind you on the way out.

Not sure if you are able to orchestrate a slot for 2 cars and 4 tents near you guys?

Simon

Hi Simon,
Yes, I can! I had promised Bob Lovelace that I will send him the list this week, so good timing. Anyone else wishes to be in the London region Camping site circle?

Kind regards,
Kish

Told you I had booked at Feb ACE meet. Just wanted to make sure I'm on your convoy & London Camping Circle list.

Jan (will have Jez sharing driving with me)

Hi Chris
Probably best to arrive a bit earlier for breakfast. I will be there at 06.00 as I get over excited close to Le Mans.

John

Guys, we're staying down near Folkestone the night before. OK if we meet you in the car park in front of the Eurotunnel shopping terminal before the 8.20am departure ? Say at 7.30am ???

Stuart

Hi Kish

As I mentioned, we will be following you down on the Thursday, about two hours behind because certain characters cannot face an early start! From your experience, will there be enough room on our site baring in mind there are 2 cars in our convoy but 4 seperate tents?

Cheers

Hi Simon,
I'm not really sure, any Le Mans regulars remember the space you are allocated? If you don't get a reply please drop an email in the Le Mans sub-forum.

See you soon,
Kish

Bob of the curves response inthe Lemans area

"In response to this post I state that the area for each campsite is approximately 5mx4m
This is adequate for a car and a tent but it must be remembered that it is finite
If everyone wanted more we would eventually run out of room and those poor souls arriving Friday would have nowhere to camp. Who would they be looking for? Answer: Me!
Please spare a thought for your neighbor and for the finite space we have within our allocated site. "

Hi all,
We have now moved the discussion and exchange of contact details, etc via emails; if you have not received any emails from me in the last few days then I apologies as I have probably missed you out. Please drop me a note at the r20 email address.

See you all at the Porsche Curve!
