Les Murray Memorial Drive

We are planning a memorial drive in memory of Leslie Murray who sadly passed away earlier this year with Cystic Fibrosis

The run will take place on the Sunday of the August Bank Holiday (Sunday 27th August 2017)

We thought a jaunt across to Cumbria could be worth doing again (similar to the route we took on a previous Bank Holiday run)

We plan on taking any donations for the memorial drive in aid of Cystic Fibrosis.

Please put your name below if you would like to attend, I'll also be at the next meeting if you would like to tell me then.

Due to the relatively short notice of this drive out we will be coming back to you very soon for pre-orders!

*Edit Sunday Night - 20/8/17

We have decided (after much discussion) to scrap the Sunday roast option for the lunch. There are still options for lunch, either at Heartside Cafe, Dirty Harrys or Sallys Cafes.

Whichever you choose please still put your name on the forum so we know how many to expect. I'll keep checking up to and including Sunday Morning.

The plan is to meet at Toys R Us car park at Metro Centre (NE11 9XU) for 10am for a coffee. We'll leave at 10:30am heading for Shotley Bridge, Stanhope, Alston, and Hartside. From here we will head for either Dirty Harrys or Sallys or both before heading back to the North East via the Military Road.

Thank you to Debs for setting up the just giving page for the Les Murray Memorial Drive Cystic Fibrosis Fundraising Page.

Hope you can all come along.

Lets all get behind this and have a great showing for a very active member and a great bloke to boot.

Even if you didn't know Les, it's for a very good cause and I'm sure it will be a great drive as always.

Sorry I will have to miss this wonderful event as we will be on holiday. I hope it all goes well and hopefully we have a fund raising web site where we could donate to the CF fund?

If you would like to donate to The Cystic Fibrosis Trust I have set up a fundraising page. See link below.

We will also be collecting on the day, but by donating online the charity can claim Gift Aid.
