Let me down.

is it the sort of thing i could do myself if I have the most basic of basic knowledge? I mean screwing things in etc lol

absolutely yes.
Have a look at the Clarkes site description in their workshop manual section and print it out.
Some time back I wrote a simpler guide using everyday stuff that anyone has to hand at home.

I'll try and find it and post it here. If you get stuck you can have my fone number or email address to offer support.
Have a go you'll feel chuffed at doing it.

so you're chickening out then ? wuss [;)]
Hope they sort it out without too much damage to your financial health and well-being but I doubt it [:D] ask them what the fuel pressure and leak down pressure are ... I bet they don't even check

Yeah chickened out lol, partly because even if I was successful then there is still a chance that it might now be the FPR. They can test this for me. But the main reason is that I have someone who wants to buy it this Saturday before I go away. Anyway I hope they can def get the part same day

Can I just double check: fpr? Fuel pressure regulator??? A google search returns DME fuel pressure relay? Is it basically a DME relay? They're like 21 quid and I can plug it in, replacing my existing one which is only a year old? I am confused, apologies?

your questions are answered in my previous post and I've given a detailed explanation how it all works too. [:D]
