p.s. Paul perhaps you could look at how they've done it on my R32 it has an interesting arrangement which looks like a plumbing 'U' bend connected to the air box. Without it the car sounds like an M3 CSL. I need to come over and see your car in its present form anyway so perhaps you could have a look. We could take it off and see if you could buy and adapt one for your car? (It doesn't look restrictive)

Never mind because I lost my place for this Sunday as I was wanting to ensure my car was quiet enough first and now it is full. I will probably do next Saturday 24th March instead with Donnys own Crashzone organisation []
Curses, I was browsing the site over the weekend and it looked like there were places still available. I was thinking of coming along as this would be a good chance to give my car a proper run. I can't do later on in the month as I've got a big work event to organise [] At this rate I wont get a track fix until April! []

All the best Brett
No reason for mentioning this really, apart from the thread had fallen off page 1 and I was intrigued how far this meandering off thready thread could run.
LIL was in the car park and Paul was at the lunch so there is some small link. I think Paul had custard as well.

I thought I would mention that I had custard with my desert for lunch on Sunday on the way back from Front Runner.

Was there a reason for Custard, I find cream is better with hot things as it cools it down and stops you burning your mouth on a piece of hot fruit, thus spoiling the after dinner feeling.
My car's engine is also in the front, that is the only link I can think thats the same []

A point very well made with regard to cooling hot fruit. However, in my experience, pub fruit pies etc are served at a temperature little above tepid. I much prefer the taste of custard over cream and, in many cases the pie is of secondary choice to that of getting custard.
Having consulted LIL's owner on the subject I can confirm that he (Paul Smith not LIL) did have apple pipe and custard on Sunday.

I knew what it was almost immediately as it was accompanied by a big WHOOSH which signified my turbo to intercooler pipe coming loose. After the subsequent red flag, stopping the session and an embarressing tow back to the pits (Rick will surely post the pics in a few days [&o]) I quickly reconnected the pipe and then remembered how I had taken that pipe off a few days earlier (and erm had maybe, possibly not tightened it up properly [8|]). Apologies for losing everyone 10 minutes of tracktime.
Apart from that I had a fantastic day with the rest of the 944 Four competition winners (Tony F, John S and Paul Mcn) and I feel I am now used to the new improved LIL and was able to control her at 18psi boost and using the full rev range [8D] I turned it back down to 15psi after the boost pipe incident as I didnt want to tempt fate and stop another session.
She still knows how to bite me though. My final session was cut short as she started to run roughly on only three cylinders. I could feel my wallet cringing as I drove back round to the pits but was overjoyed a few hours later in a pub car park after a hurried phone call to Jon M where Tony and I discovered it was just a faulty spark plug. Phew!
Roll on the next one (in car videos will follow shortly - well maybe after Easter)
Got at least 2 1/2 hours of tracktime in total, cracked the front discs in a couple of places (big blacks - holey discs) EBC yellows (I think the fronts came in a box marked yellow but they were black, the rears are yellow so now not so sure!) More braking available than I was using but all 4 discs were blue. The front pads no longer squel though.
Back on topic - was worried for LIL she looked and sounded sick, but after a good pub meal and a bit of plug removal (the last one) she sounded sweet again.

Did you get any footage of you GT3 stalking?
I think you could have risked running 18 PSI for the rest of the day once you had that boost hose tightened down, but you were probably best off being safe and not causing a track closure.
With some suspension mods, better tyre and wheel package and 18 to 20 PSI of boost, there will not be much that could touch it on a track or road.
