Live Re-map...The Results!

ORIGINAL: kbooker

Lee / Kenny, cheers gents, much appreciated. Was there an additional cost for disconnecting / reconnecting the drive?

I can answer this one on behalf of Kenny as we went together and the answer is no. We both paid the same amount to the penny. It's just a fixed price as despite having to disconnect drive to the front wheels on Kenny's car he spent a lot more time on mine due to difficulties with the varioram. Kenny's had no such issues and thus took over an hour less.

For information, I had the live re-map done by Wayne yesterday and was particularly interested to see what it my car would do as I've removed the catalysts.

The results were the best Wayne has seen of 317bhp and 290lb/ft!

I back up all other comments bout Wayne who is a decent chap and appears to genuinely care about what he is doing. Mine had no varioram/ plug lead problems and only took him a couple of hours.

Had the re-map done by Wayne........6Hrs in the wind tunnel!!!...its ok for him sat in the car with the heaters on!!!!!!......

Top guy........highlighted a few probs with mine .....binding rears .....he even took the temps of the rear disks etc etc...........

rest of runs carried out using no brakes.........

He found an extra 27bhp on mine....and leaving the injectors on in deceleration makes for a much smoother take up when you next nail it....

The man knows his stuff!!!!

Has anyone had Wayne do work on an early pre varioram 993? Has there been a big difference on those too? It does sound like money well spent without going mad adding "bits and pieces".

Mine is non-varioram 993....and his magic did work.....

Have posted the figures earlier in the posting.......

I will post again if you need them

Let me know

317bhp and 290lbft, now that's what I call impressive.

Seems we have all had the same experience with Wayne. When you think the cost of the power kit on the new 997S is £8421 for an extra 26bhp and I got 27bhp for £411 - absolute bargain.

Or putting it another way, I now have 5 more bhp and 22lb ft more torque than a RS! (mind you - I'd still swap for an RS).
