Lockton Car Insurance/Car Value Estimation

Geoff,

VTS is a dealer fit, I would think they would connect it all but not register with Vodafone/nee Cobra so likely some PiWiS fiddling + your subscription.

I am with Mannings and pay around £750 pa for £72k insured value and unlimited UK track days for a heavily modified car. I was previously with the Marsh scheme with a Carrera GTS with £80k insured value but moved to Mannings who were £350 extra but I needed and got unlimited UK v 2 PCGB track days for the extra cost. Insured value is a big component in the premium. If the insured value is less than £60k, a tracker is generally not required.

You might try ClassicLine, they were similar cost to Mannings for me.

I can confirm that to activate VTS you just need to call the department at Vodafone who will activate it for you for an annual fee. No need for the dealer to do anything

I agree but it is not a standard fitment in a GT4 as far as I know, I think from memory it costs about £1200.00 and then £200 per yr to Vodafone.
If it was fitted and just needed activating it would be an easy solution.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I have not got any fob's, nothing came with the car.

Hi Geoff,

Oh I was just confirming from a previous post that no PIWIS interventiln by an OPC is necessary.

I agree youd find it optioned in the spec sheet if you had it installed at the factory
