London's new Ultra Low Emissions Zone

There are proposals and a "consultation" in Oxford to ban all petrol and diesel cars from six central streets from 2020 with a phased expansion to the rest of the centre from 2025 - not just a charge for older/polluting vehicles.

I put my next door neighbor‘s 2005 Prius in the checker, that failed as well

its just another stealth tax, all the money going into clean air schemes, not a chance

filthy horrid taxi’s get away with it

my 968 on the last MOT 200ppm HC 0.02 CO

Hey all, I'm a few years late to this thread but presumably no one's found a work-around for a 944 to be ULEZ compliant?

the workaround is once the car hits 40 it's exempt, I have 4 years to go but have now left the area, in part due to Khan overriding the wishing of the public. The average result was 66% against the ULEZ, in some areas it was as high as 80%. Some councils have already voiced opinions against Khan's plans, some very forcefully so. For my part, I have signed the petition against Khan.

Thanks for this, PSH. I'm a good few years behind you with my '91 S2 so will just have to sit tight. What a pain - particularly when I feel quite satisfied that I'm merely extending the useful life of a "product"!
