Looking for a 997 - November '14

That would eat me alive!

Being an old PICU Nurse this is more my budget:

Pretty and simple.

The gearbox debate, I have nothing against pdk, dct etc, I just have no natural talent and it's taken me so long to learn to left foot brake, heel and toe etc I'd miss the rewards of all that effort.

I bought the Cayman as a compromise, I wanted an Elise but my wife disagreed. As a result I've completely fallen in love with the engine and I've never been so excited about a car as I am about buying a 997.
 
If your looking for an early 997 I would recommend that you try to stretch to the "S" - with PASM, PSE and short shifter - and more oomph![:)] Like this maybe?

Cheers, that seems a great deal of car for the money.

I've been researching specs and had concluded that the 3.6 would be a safer bet long term, especially after I had fitted a LN Engineering IMS.

PASM, PSE, Nav etc seem like unnecessary complexities for me to maintain and I've read little that suggests they actually add to the driving experience.

The early 3.6 and 3.8 gearboxes share the same part numbers, what I can't find is if they have a torque sensing diff?
