Looking for cars for photography

As some of you may have seen I've been doing a few car photography shots and posting them on this forum - a 997 and my 987 Boxster.

I'm running out of subjects with my Boxster and I'm looking to get a few more shots under my belt of other cars, particuarly Porsches, old and new.

So, I'm looking for subjects. Ideally based close to or around Edinburgh or London. I split my time between the 2 cities each week and would ideally like to shoot cars around my homes.

The benefit would be you would get a CD of images for free and I would get to build my portfolio.

Please send me a mail at photo@justhypemedia.com

Some of my images have been posted on my new blog - http://justhype.blogspot.com/

Cheers

Steve

Steve,
Very impressed by your pictures. (looked at your blog site). What camera are you using? Do you post-process them at all? - What software? The shading on the 997 wheel above has an "unreal but enticing" quality to it that I'd love to be able to achieve (not that I've ever actually tried photgraphing cars).

I'd like to volunteer my car but then I'd have to spend time cleaning it more than I do!

Anyone know a valet service that works with Zymol in Scotland?[8|]

Mark - the camera is a Canon 350D with a Sigma 10-20 lens (EX). I use Photoshop to enhance the image - mostly to bring out the shadows and highlights while giving the image a slightly unreal look - my style!! I think if I'm making an image with digital tools then it should look digital!! As long as your car is relatively clean that's all it takes - the 997 was filthy in that shot as i'd just hammered it for a good 100 miles prior to that shot!!!!

The 85 Carrerra, 964 and 944 not to mention the GT3 would all make great subjects. I wonder if we could arrange the shots on the same day (thinking a sat dawn or late avo - prob the latter as I'm rubbish at early starts)? Might be a good idea to do some shots in fife - there are some excellent places on the way to St Andrews. I'll be in touch directly anyway - it looks like I've had quite a few replies from boxa.net and rennteam.com! Should be good though and it will be nice to take a pic of something other than the Box for a change!

Cheers

Steve

Try Dave who has posted all the "How To" articles in the Concours Section (he posts here under his wifes id - Jackinabox)

Anybody available on sat for pics? Short notice but the weather looks good! Thinking Fife area!

Aberdeenshire - my ancestoral home but I'm not sure I'll make it that far with all that photo gear!

Steven - was thinking around St Monans or somewhere like that. Can do East Lothian if it's easier! Lots of cool places there! I did a bit of a reccie today in the Box but it turned into more of a fun drive when I discovered a new twisty!!

Such a shame...
Looks like up Aberdeenshire types will have to go to you.

In the meantime, if you fancy photographing a Speed Yellow, Aerokitted 996 C4S...I'm yer man!

I have to say some of my best pics are edging towards that way. I've spent a lot of time driving on the road to Ballater from Aberdeen when I used to have a girlfriend up there.

A speed yellow C4S would look stunning! Could maybe meet Glenshee area if you have a chance. Free Sunday AM so far...

At last! What a busy days shoot. Charles' lovely 968CS, a 996 GT3 and a 993 Turbo!!!

Here is one to be going on with! I'm off to have a nice, well deserved glass of wine!!

I will be posting quite a few tomorrow! Got some lovely ones from today with Charles and a few of Gordon's 996 GT3!

Shooting another car tomorrow possibly too! It's been a very busy weekend and I've been getting lots of good experience with various cars!

.. hot hatch day at Knockhill on Sunday may provide variety you are striving for... couple of 993s likely to be there for a wee look...

Cheers
Kevin
