Lotherton hall sunday

Is anyone going to the Yorkshire porsche festival on Sunday. Should be a good turnout and it's a good charity too.

I expect the usual 300+ turnout, we sold 200 tickets up front so it's is definitely going to be good.

There are some stunning cars in the concours this year and along side everything that Strasse and Specialist Cars will bring, plus the band, bbq and bar (both in aid of the Candlelighters) and trade stands it is going to be a great day.

I'm really looking forwards to it. Heading from Sheff, taking the back roads to Wakey and then up towards Aberford. Anyone got any better route tips?

HI Wishbone. If the weather stays fine Dave & I will be heading up to Lotherton from Dodworth (M1 J37) area - we could meet up with you somewhere for gentle blast through back roads if you are fancy it. Best regards. Zeusy.

Given that it's only 5 minutes from home, and I've already bought a ticket, then I should be there [:)]

No problem. Plan is to head up from Sheff and go across country. Sort of Silkstone Common/Silkstone/Cawthorne/Darton/Bretton.
Where would you like to meet up?

I haven't worked out the route after that yet. I think we'll have to head through Wakey and then up.

You two should park next to each other.

I have ordered weather and paid for Sunday delivery!

Sounds good to me. With mine, Ian's, Steve's and the chap with the 987 Spyder PDK from Ladybower (really sorry but forgot his name) we've got at least four Spyders there.

We could meet in the Encore Hotel car park just off J37 M1 north at Dodworth then make a route up from there.

Ok. I think I've got a route from there that should avoid the major towns & cities. What time were you thinking of meeting up?

Many many thanks to Dan the man, Carol and Mark.
Another great day, just wish sun came out.
Cheers Karen and Jon x.

Yep, I second that. A cracking day out.

Thanks for what must've been a huge amount of organising to pull this off.

All 3.5 of us (me, wife, child and baby bump) enjoyed it. My wife was very surprised at the turnout as the weather lloked like it could have gone either way. As an added bonus she is thinking of upgrading her focus to a macan so we had a look at a couple of those and she likes them (obviously petrol tho[:D]). She did also like the newer GT3's that were there but a little out of our price range.

I can only echo everyone else's feedback.

Great event guys. Very well done. I hope it went well for the charity also.
