Lotherton hall sunday

Superb day, PCGB at its very best. Many thanks to Mark and Carol together will all who helped make this superb event so enjoyable.

Some lovely cars, lovely people and all for a very worthy cause too.

Glad everyone enjoyed the day, we certainly did and raised a great total, £3800, for the Candlelighters.

We have to thank all the guys in the Club office who you don't normally see, who really worked hard with us on the ticket sales and printing. Chris Sweeting who came up with the membership van and sold the Club all day. He signed up 30 new members which is an incredible achievement. I think he ended up getting Greg and Debs (R3 ROs) and Rob Kellock in on the act.

Also all the members who gave their time, setting up, manning the car park and then pulling it all down again. I wish it would go up as quick as it comes down [:D] So in no particular order: Geoff Benson, Peter Brook, Jon Clayton, Daniel and Amanda Holmes, Lisa and Michael Jackson, Tony and Linda Murphy, Doug and Marlies Sudron thank you!

We also have to say thank you to our sponsors Strasse and Specialist Cars of Malton, between them they put on a great show and generate a huge donation for the Candlelighters, putting in a £1000 each.

We sold 200 tickets in advance, which was the upper end of where we hoped to be, and allowed us to donate a £1 from each sale to the Candlelighters which is brilliant. On the day we just nudged the 400 car mark, so a huge success around. The fact that the sun came out at the end was a nice bonus.

So far there are loads of pictures on the Facebook, but if I get time tonight I will put them in the Regional gallery on the website.
