loving the feel and drive of my S2

I would also love to attend but the 944s are long gone. It would be in a Beetle offspring if that were acceptable!
It would be great to see you again Chris...it's been a while......:)

All welcome ! I will get my head around this and start thinking about it, I will get back on this forum with a list of alternatives, for peeps thinking of coming up.

We are living in the heyday of the 944 and the internal combustion engine as a whole, yet I have a lot of road trips on my bucket list I want to tick off that I have been putting off for far too long.

The lake district run sounds like a fantastic idea, once you have your head around it Frenchy, start a new thread and count me in.

If there are enough of us around and interested in a track day, I think it would be fabulous to see if we can get the numbers to make a dedicated 944 track day at Anglesey as a weekend trip with some north wales driving included.

Not to mention getting some cars up to Scotland for an epic drive around the the Balmoral area, military roads through the mountains and skyfall locations would be epic.

I am sure some of us are photographers and I am sure I could get a professional drone pilot to come along to some of these meets to really build some memories ready for the next generations who will not know what they have missed.

I'm liking this, sounds much more like the old titanic days with epic group drives, I'll most certainly do my best to attend as many as possible, North Wales is a favourite driving area for me, Scotland I haven't done yet but is on the bucket list, as long as they aren't in the same year there's a good chance that I may be able to make both, I'll keep a close eye on future plans.......i ahve already spoken to SWMBO about a lakes trip and she seems quite keen on the idea.....:)

kind regards

Pete
