Low Oil Pressure

Oil pressure sender ? Keep us posted on your findings Rob, hopefully something simple, usually is (fingers crossed) Nice One [:)]

Great result! Very glad to hear it. Doubly satisfying; not only is the repair simple, but the oil pressure was fine all along so no expensive damage done to your engine. Oli.

Indeed. Had hoped but didn't expect this to be the issue but I was baffled as the engine sounded so sweet still. Everything has had a good look over though so all is well [8D]

Oh one thing I noticed at the weekend when I was checking the crank pulley bolt. There's what look like small balance weights stuck to the pulley. Did Porsche fit these or does it indicate that the engine has been apart and balanced at some point? There's nothing in the history file to show engine work to that level ever although that doesn't mean it didn't happen!

Aye spotted that on mine ! good engineering, i will bet loads of other manufacturers would not bother.

ORIGINAL: Hairyarse Well I'm very surprised but very chuffed tonight! Picked up a replacement sender today (cheers Elliot [;)]) and problem solved!! Really wasn't expecting that but so pleased I don't have to take the sump off or anything daft like that! Happy days! [:D] Thanks again for everyone's help [;)]
