Lust!

My mate has a Ferrari 355 and I took him out in mine the other day and he reckons mine would be slightly ahead once rolling

You`re not wrong, I`ve been up against my mates 360 Spyder two up (paddle shift []) as was he and as the speeds got silly I was slightly quicker [;)]

While I don't doubt you I am more than surprised to hear that. My RS6 was broadly comparable with a properly wrung-out 360 Spyder the one time I got up against one with room to play, and the RS6 was significantly quicker than the 944T when the speeds got properly high. Up to maybe 120 there might not be much in it, but the Audi just didn't let up until past 160 and even then would pull through to 180 (doubtless more given the chance as it was derestricted) quicker than the 944T would do 130 - 150.

I too am surprised at this - my car has around 300hp & similar 'torques' (!) and is far quicker than my 220hp daily saloon but it is also a heavy old Hector and I would never have said it would compare to a 400hp Fezza, which would have a significantly better power to weight ratio.

Have to say I'm not suprised an RS6 would cane a 944T, just like my GSXR 1000 would murder an RS6, in the dry. [:D]

Driven a 355 at Thruxton and thought it felt slower than my 44, but firmer and with less roll - did sound quite nice though [;)]. Overtaken 360's at Snetterton but who knows how good the drivers were or how hard they were trying. Been easily passed by race 360's at Snett which were much quicker through the corners.
