Magic gone or prices too high?

Fair point Rick, but car ownership takes time --- and just at the moment my time is at a premium.

I am already in trouble for the manky set of mags with PSCups and the lovely set of mags with PS's which I have up in my play room in preparation for the Clubbie (which only has Cup1 alloys with SO2's) --- plus all the bits from previous cars and the '64RS steering wheel from the Clubbie (Sparco fitted) and the 32cm triple leather Maritime Blue 964 RS wheel with 30mm extended hub --- for the Clubbie if I can steer with it !!

You get the picture ... !!!

Maybe I should keep the GT3RS for bad weather driving ? It's on the ultimate wet weather tyre --- Continentals --- ouch !! But I have been unable so far, to wear them out. And I'll tell you what, it's a fantastic car (full cage, eveything in wite (+ red)). But hardly a railway station and airport car ...

I would find it increasingly more difficult to choose between the 2 if I could only have one.

Been out for a blast in the 7RS today and the car continues to amaze me in a way the 64 could never. This is not dissing the 64 cause it's a superb sausage but in a way which renders the two incomparible.

Depends which mood I'm in....all I know is that I had no desire to take the 64 out today with rain threatening and maybe the remnance of salt on the frog. I was seeking speed thrills......so I cranked up the orange beauty.

So....the 7 was and still is wickedly awesome in a frighteningly fast car......and ooooooh that noise.

That said if what you want is seat of your pants driving where every corner of the car is an extention of yourself then it has to be the 64. Having now done a massive 1400 miles in the 7 all I can say is I'm no where near bored yet.....so much more to experience.

And Desmond...you mention all those footballers cars most of which I have driven ..... they are in another league.....and in aint nowhere near here.

i think the first sentence say it all Lee. The fact that you'd find it hard to choose at all is a great testament to what is a fifteen year old car !! They are both great cars and both will have a following. I wonder which is most value for money ??? Light blue touch paper stand well back[:D]

I should add that I'm not your typical representative of all things normal....it's horses for courses. One mans ideal would certainly be the 7RS and I could understand why but for guys like me who are a bit stuck in the past, the 64 is a "fond memory" car....the likes of which will never be built again.

As I said...it depends on my mood although lately I have a greater need for speed.
