Considering painting my wheels but I am aware they need to go to a specialst because they are magnesium, does anyone know a company that do this.

many thanks

Dick

Hi Dick

I had mine refurbished at Autofarm in 2006, and they did a great job restoring them to the original colour etc...

Might be worth speaking to Jasmine too, as I think Autofarm may send their wheels out to Jasmine for the work but I'm not sure on this.

Are you sure you want to paint an extremely rare set of wheels a different colour?

My advice would be to find a set of replica cup 1's and paint those instead.

Keep the mags as original for the future.

Other option is to get a set of 18's and paint those (nice set of split rim or one piece replicas). See Lee Fulfords white RS for a stunning example of painted 18 inch rims on an RS.

Ollie...Your so kind.

Picture attatches but not a good one. wheels have just been refurbed again and look brighter now

Hi Ollie

Your probably right about painting the wheels so the search starts for a set of cup 1's, I was at chris's today and was looking at Jasons car and he said that you had done the graphics so if I can find your mobile number I will call you and have a chat to see if my idea will work if I go ahead with it.

Pooh, didn´t know they are that expensive. What about the original Cup car wheels (8 and 9,5)? Is it the same problem or could that be an alternative? Or are they not available at all, like the RS mags? I have no idea about the market. Does anybody know more?

Original cup car wheels are rare as well, especially the rears. I've been looking for a spare set for a while. You also need big spacers on the back with these, as the offset is 68.

You could go for 18" Speedlines since these were standard fit on Carrera Cup cars from '92.

Original Cup car wheels are a good alternative for half the money...
