many of us using the turbo in winter?

I've got on some wet and greasy roads twice in my 930. Just a waste of time having all that power that can't be used. I am going to keep him strictly for dry weather use.

Turbo is safely tucked up in long term storage for the winter months.

Have been taking the SC out for a spin on fine days when I have felt the need for a Porsche fix. [:)]

Since i am very new to this all power i find the GT2 very much a handful on the roads at the moment and often scares me, have found out why they call the GT2 the "widow maker" have often felt the backend wants to get to the destination first at times

Use mine all the time as it's my daily driver. Mixture of A and B back roads plus motorways. Gets the power down great and it's more fun if there's a little less grip! It's got more understeer than my previous 996 Carrera but is much more stable - could get the back end out on the Carrera easily and on icy roads it was not fun. As for salt etc wash it every week and leave the handbrake off when the discs are wet through either washing or rain. Why not use it - it makes me grin each time I get in it!

Now back i'm from OZ i'll have mine out at every opportunity

Good man Steve! Have come to work in mine today, and went out at lunch for a spin in the sun, lovely.

Love to say yes but sadly, since detailed by Elite, only time out for the 930cab has been to the ACE.

Despite what everyone has said to me, I think Toy may be going on the market as soon as home issues have bee settled.

I try to take it out at least once every fortnight on as dry a day as possible, they really do not like lying up idle.
I just wrote off my CSL so now that the every day car is gone, guess i'll just have to take it out more !![:(]

I took mine out in the snow, but its made my mind up, I need new tyres!! ..... They're on order for next week :)

oops! Hope no one was hurt. Shame about the car as always thought the CSL was an interesting take on the 3M although very pricey from new.

Thanks Tiptop.
no i was discharged from hospital that night, broken scabula (shoulder)., went broadside into a block wall and a telegraph pole., pity the car was immaculate, less than 6k on the clock and not even a stone chip on it.
fantastic car.........just have to get another one. about as close to a gt3 with 4 seats as you can get.
