March Satuday drive

Following last months very experimental get-together, which we all seemed to enjoy, the next one is Saturday March 12th, meeting at the Gardeners again, at 2pm. No route planned as yet but probably going over towards Chichester way, but I've got no preference if anyone wants to route plan something. Phil's already sorted out April's run! Hope to see you all again. (Cars been under the dust sheet ever since the last one, be nice to drag it out again)

Sounds like you had a fun drive last month.

Would like to join you next Saturday if possible Ardingly "" Chichester. This route offers some good driving roads - once at Chichester perhaps a visit to Goodwood "" Top Hat Premier Historic Race Series have a track day there on Saturday, the NAAFI Wagon will more than likely be there for bacon butties and tea of coffee. Good opportunity for a driving break and chat.

Chichester is my home patch, if you would like some local knowledge of good driving roads there are plenty with good access from Chichester / Goodwood. I would be pleased to chat and point in the right direction. It would be good to get up into the South Downs fast sweeping roads usually quiet at this time of the year, some with nice new smooth blacktop, also some good hill climbs enabling one to push hard on the go peddle without reaching intergalactic speed. Plenty of opportunity for stops to admire view, laugh at each other or just talk car.

Right James, you're the route man for that drive then! Call in at Goodwood circuit sounds fine. See you Saturday.

This sounds like it is shaping up for a good afternoons motoring.

Hopefully will be able to attend on Saturday.

Excellent suggestion. James, are you coming up to the Gardeners to lead us down from there?

Phil

Yes Phil I will be at the showground entrance opposite the Gardeners for 2.00pm.

We can be flexible with routes and confirm on the day to take account of time and preferences etc. there is plenty of choice.

This should be a good afternoon's drive, looking forward to meeting on the Saturday 12th.

James

Hi

Really want to join you again on Saturday, but unfortunatly I need to be in Storrington by 4PM.

Does anybody fancy an earlier start time?

I'm relaxed re earlier start as I would like to be in Guildford around 18.30.
I have possible commitments Saturday morning however could meet at the Gardeners at 12.00

Jonathan whatever time is decided come along anyway, besides I would like to see your car. We are travelling in the right direction; at worst leaving at 14.00 we have plenty of time to get down to Goodwood plus a bit. Storington would only be 30 mins away. Leaving earlier may be better - Im easy

Why don't we compromise and make it a 1pm start then. If this is OK, can we then all acknowledge, as I've mentioned to some of the other regions about the drive and the 2pm kick-off, and we don't really want Porsches turning up at the Gardeners when the rest of us are half way across Sussex! Just pray to the weather god . . .

1PM (sharp) should do nicely, will be there unless the weather is dodgy.

Thanks all.

Sorry boys, can't make this one (Wife's Birthday and all that)[]

For some reason she doesn't want to be in my cold SC all afternoon (not when I can be shopping!!! - Lou) what's she like eh?

Will be about for April's jaunt though[:D]
