Has anyone got pictures of what this looks like? With mesh I mean. I can't imagine it?!
Picture of mine - 997 I know but the effect is the same!

The angle of your picture makes it look like a cheesy smile[:D].

Not sure whether its a visual improvement but done nicely like on your cars it's certainly not offensive and well worth it to stop the radiators getting clogged with leaves/smashed by stones.
I think it's visually neutral in as much as you only realise they are there if you look for them! But after taking a rock through an air con condenser when the car was just 6 weeks old (which, of course is not covered by warranty!) I reckoned that fitting grilles was a much cheaper option. Of course you still have to remove the crud from the grilles but far easier than from the rads.[;)]
And of course it's a cheesey smile - it's a happy car......[:D]

I did my 2000 C4 with ally mesh from B and Q,I removed the bumper to clean the rads and realised the inlet mouldings are quite deep so I just folded the mesh around them and araldited them in place.Once you glue one corner and the resin sets the shape can be stretched quite taught and it becomes very strong.I have done this on my motorbikes and never had any problems with the mesh being glued, and they tend to be in a harsher enviroment behind the front wheel and with the heat of the engine.

Mesh now installed on mine and looks the business. Hopefully it'll also save me some loot on radiator repairs! Pics when I get a chance.

Before you remove your bumper make sure you note the gaps between the litronics and the bumper. I spent hours trying to close those gaps, not realising that they were originally there! Good luck!
I remember Rodney's predicament as it happened to me too but forgot to mention it in the DIY write up in the technical section! I've got the Halfords mesh as well and will probably fit it soon to the turbo. Will take some photos of the installation when I get round to doing it.
