Mesh in the front vents

Just in the middle of this job myself, bumper has been lying in my conservatory over night with the PU sealant bonding the mesh on. I ended up getting 3 panels of mesh from eBay for £25 delivered and some tiger PU sealant for about £6 so a cheap job. Quite easy to do and plenty of guides available. I find I have to jack the car up and remove the front wheels to get the bumper off.

Also, my rads were covered in road muck so got a good clean. I had been running at slightly over 80 on the temp and in my test post clean I was back on 80 so the cooling system is running more efficiently too!!

Next time I need to take the bumper off I'll probably do the same as it will be a lot less fiddly!

Spend so much time with my 2.4S up on axle stands, I've not tackled jacking the turbo up yet so havn't even got on my knees to look . So, being a new turbo owner .. where abouts are you jacking from at the front & where are you placing the axle stands ?

James I jacked the car using the rear jacking point and was able to place the axle stand on the front jacking point before lowering the jack again so the rear wheel was back in contact with the ground. It's possible to do both sides at the same time like this.

I covered the top of the axle stands with folded terry towelling cleaning cloths to avoid damaging the anti corrosion paint on the underside

The front jacking points are just behind the wheel arch. On my car there are actually arrows on the side skirts which are in line with the jacking points. I've got a low trolley jack, so was just able to get it under the skirts and to the jacking points. Axle stands then under the axles.

BTW - If anyone is looking to do this job I have enough black mesh left to fill all 3 sections - £15.00 delivered to UK address - let me know.

Just re-fitted my bumper, all back together nicely and looking factory much like the example at the start of this thread - see ya later leaves
