Any of you folks using Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (N3) tyres ? If so where did you find was the best price. Checked at Costco today:
Fronts 205/50/17 = £171 each
Rears 255/40/17 £189 each
Hope it's not long before they have a 20% off deal!!

Paul,

I've stuck with Continental Conti Sport Contact 2 N2, cheaper than the Michelins too by £30 per tyre. What are the benefits of the Michelins?

Bill

Porsche recently carried out tests on tyres for their cars including the older models, in particular the 964. Michelin and Conti's came out best. I'm currently using Pirelli on the 964. In the past i've not been impressed with conti's, always sufferred with crazing/cracknig on the outer edge of the tread. Currenlty using Michelins on the daily drive and well impressed with wear and grip, compound appears to be alot more supple.

Have to say I've always been a fan of Conti SC2 for road use. I've had a couple of sets on the boxster and have them on the 964. I recently needed a new set of tyres for the boxster and decided to give the MPSs a go because everyone raved about them being the best tyres. Personally I don't find them any better than the contis in the dry or wet and therefore don't think they are worth the extra dosh.

How much?????!!!!!!!

I was paying around that much a pair for Bridgestone S02s on the 944S2 and only a little more for Pirelli P Zeros before. This was for standard 16" tyres, which are the same as on the 964s, though, is there really that much difference in price?

Hi Paul,

I paid £232 supplied and fitted for my Bridgestone S02's on the rear same size as your last year but I live in Berkshire. I would shop around.

Thanks for the replies folks. Found etyres.co.uk to be the best price at the minute for most of the leading brands, even beat costco for Michelins. Depending on the brand could save nearly £100

Paul - Costco couldn't compete with Buckley tyres for my 235/35/19 MPS2 front tyres this month. Costco told me they weren't expecting any tyre deals for a while as they'd had 2 in quick succession lately.
