Microsquirt ecu project

Forgot to add, crank sensors stay the same but with a pot on the speed sensor, the bare minimum extra sensors needed to make it run are manifold pressure and temperature sensors.
You must have a microsquirt or megasquirt 2 with 2 VR inputs for the crank sensors for my setup to work.
If anybody wants my maps, they can have them but they may not suite their car and I take no responsibilty for melted pistons or other disasters.

Ive read your email with great interest James. When will you be ditching the airflow meter and fitting a TPS?

Simon

I have ditched the AFM and run a bit of gutter drain pipe to a cone filter and had to adjust fuel accordingly as it was running leaner. I will be using the stock air filter when my spare airbox arrives for experimental hacking about.
Have also fitted a restriction in the silicon pipe to the manifold pressure sensor to smooth things out a bit more. Possibly the combination of the extra flow and the close proximity of the MAP take off to the throttle plate is causing turbulance and pressure spikes. I used a couple of bicycle spoke nipples pushed into the tube which worked nicely.

Fitted the TPS as well

Well took the old girl for an mot today, was a bit worried about emissions.

I was very chuffed when it passed with no advisories, a CO value of 1.016 and HC of 102.
Last years test on motronic came out with a CO of 2.6 wth HC not recorded.

Looks like my 944 is now greener (we'll ignore the occaisional flames on overun!)
