Minimum Weight

1000kgs is my goal, but whether I will get there Im not sure.

I dont wish to knock your effort but its all about power to weight ratio too.

To do so would cost more in my opinion than to buy (say) a 944 turbo for the car will be worthless to most people so theres the lost value and the added extra over cost of special parts and stupidly expensive exotic metals to think of. However the performance will not be that much more. I assume you are tracking it so add into the equation a roll cage and you`ve offset 20-25% (ish) of all the expensive weight you`ve lost. It will be nimble certainly but better than a more powerful 951 with decent suspension...................? I`m not so sure.

IIRC 50 kg weight loss equates to approx 10bhp

PTW as well as the braking and handling advantage is what I am looking for. I have to disagree about cost though; this has cost me very little and every expense would need to be duplicated on a Turbo.

Unobtanium isnt real: the most exotic materials that I have used so far are aluminium and polycarbonate sheet and theyre far from expensive. For the greater part, weight saving is free.....
