Hi Guys,

Who is going and purchased tickets for the above?? Names?????? Cars?????? Picnic??????

Would be great to see if we could all meet somewhere???

Bearing in mind that if the PORSCHE's are to be parked with the other Porsche's we need to be there before 10 and until 3.

Hope that makes sense :)

Steve

I shall be there in my 993, so I'll be consigned to the "old" cars area out the back somewhere!

My attendance depends upon my son's good fortunes or otherwise [8|] in being selected to play cricket that day. If he doesn't, then I'll be there - happy to help Johnny and the others with organisation, etc, but only if I get there!!

[8D] Hi Mike

I will have to order another cake from Morrisons & i'm looking at about 20 pieces per cake & with 2 cakes that makes 40 happy customers.

Well its only once a year & your birthday don't always coinside with a Porsche Club event & at Silverstone too.

All the best & I see you on the 23rd May & safe Porsche Driving. Kevin.[:-]

oops. did I not mention. I will be helping on the day and probably be there on site before 8 and probably at the gate in the morning. Please please save me a slice

With reference to my Birthday Cake it will be first come first serve otherways it will cost me more in cake, but it is only once a year.

With reference to the Champagne only my close friend will get this this is not free to all.

Yours Truly Kevin. [:)]

A few of us from R7 are meeting up at Wooley Edge services on the M1 (J39-38 southbound) at 7am if anyone wants to join us!! John

Actually I'm now thinking I might not park in the "showcase" area so that I can clear off earlier in the day. Wonder if I'll cause a riot when I turn up with a red sticker and ask to park elsewhere...?

We've just got back from what was a pretty brilliant day, getting to see the facility in action was really nice, and a lift in the back of a Panamera was nicer!

This is the first club event I have gotten involved with as I offered to help marshal the car park first thing in the morning as I am so local. The place allocated to us by the circuit owners (and not Porsche or Porsche club) was not ideal as it was loose shale and dusty as hell, however it was what it was and anyone who parked there may require a rinse off, (the car that is) Most people were happy enough except one complete arrogant t*ss*r who proceeded to swear at me before I had a chance to explain the situation, and left in a flurry of dust and stone, before i had a chance tell him what I thought of him, hope he chipped his yellow paint work.

My point is we were all volunteers getting hot and sweaty of our free will and didn't have any control or responbsibility for the position of the car park, so why do members feel they have to have a go?? To my horror I discovered this one is a register secretary so should be supporting the club and setting an example not acting like spoilt child.

Would I volunteer again? I should say no, but actually it was such a nice day with the overwhelming number of people being very friendly and funny that I would, I'll just hope that for the next event the idiot stays at home!

Should you recognise yourself in the above whilst reading this, an apology would be graciously received.
