Monaco Grand Prix - Bo-ness Motor Museum

Did notice something on the BBC said F1 starting at 12.15 so what time does the race start at ?? still leaving SP for noon ?? it is about 45mls to Bo-ness allow extra time for 40 limit to Kincardine cut off

BBC coverage begins at 12:10pm on Sunday and the race itself starts at 13:00. Brian's right, leaving Strathclyde at Noon is cutting things fine "¦ especially with a huge football match on and the traffic that's liable to cause near the meeting point.

so far those meeting at SP are only brian, myself , tony and robin, inky,

so lets make it a 11.30 departure, its about 45 mins tops (even with brian keeping up[:)])

(i will be there 11.15, so as soon as everyone there, we can go)

I take it from that we would be having our lunch after the GP or do you plan to have it before the race starts if so we would have to be at Bo-ness for noon ..please advise on the time table ..not being a footy man where is the match

Posted this after your reply It is not Kevin you are talking about [:D][:D][:D]

Sure Scott, that suits me.

I'm not a footy guy either Brian, but I'm told there are matches on at both Celtic and Rangers on Sunday. Celtic Park is between my flat and the meeting point, so I suspect I'm going to need to find a long way around.

Just a suggestion how about leaving at 11.15 sharp from SP as Dougie say's the A80 is dead slow 40 max and does not clear till after the Kincardine cut off

So......what time are you guys planning to be there? Bill will food be available before, during or after the GP?
I just like to know the details!!!![:D]

Brawn boys to win......if not then the Lewis fella!!! Cannae wait!!!

Kx

bill has booked the food

expect that plan is to have some food while the GP is on, so if we leave 11.30 we should be there for 12.15. time to gab etc before the start

have been through the roadworks loads of times, traffic moves, just a little slower, takes 5 mins longer, Tops !

no idea when the football starts, but predict a win for Rangers ! but all traffic will be heading city bound so opposite direction to us .

Don't know the roundabout - never been to SP! Is it the one on the B-road about a mile from Junct 5, along the north side of the loch?

Google ML1 3RT it is off J5 from Glasgow take 2nd left into SP then 1st right into Toby car park also signed M&D theme park

I've ordered the buffet today for 10, but don't know when it's served but I agree with Scott that having it during the GP is better.

I'll have my lunch beforehand just in case.[:)]

Just a wee note on the first post - I believe the DC Museum is still open.....at least according to their website, and there is another car club going tomorrow...

It is indeed still open I spoke to the new owners they have just taken it over since easter time...so business as usual perhaps a run down another time and do a tour off the area at the same time nice part of the country, but watch out for the camera van down there

I am still not feeling great, due to this cough, so if I feel like this tomorrow I will need to cancel, but will square up for the buffet at the next meeting if that is ok?

However, I may be feeling ok tomorrow, so I will definately be there if I do.
