Apologies for the delay, it's complicated getting photos from iPhone to forum.

However, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about ;-)

I do remember driving around the real Oulton Park a few weeks ago and being held up by some red car but then getting past it and watching it disappear backwards in my mirror as though it was on a piece of elastic [:D] Don't know who or what it was but it had a Turbo badge on the back, private reg number VNT or some such...

just finished..[8D]

although its been all my own work as my child labour's been revising for A level business studies .

May the best man win....not that it will be us...got be air cooled to win hasn't it? [;)][:D]

Chuffed with third, Julie still says we entered the wrong green car ;)
Cheers Bolton for hosting this and for the 1:18 GT3RS :)

The other green car needed a wash though!!

Thanks to all involved today, chuffed to win a prize too.

Zeb, chin up, at least you won on the simulator :)

Nice to meet a few of you. Good turnout and some stunning cars.
I was a region 5 interloper and was told in a rather curt manner that I had to park away from the other cars at the other end of the car park.
Later spoke to one of the other guys (nice chap in fairness)who said they didn't have a 'visitors class' because nobody from other regions ever showed up - I wonder why !!
Surely it would have been better to have another nice early (ish) car on display, even if it wasn't judged ?!

To say I was made to feel unwelcome would be an understatement !

Anyway, some great cars - the RS was simply stunning as was Alans early 911.

Si

Carrera74, sorry to read that.

We all had to park where directed, it's not because you're from an "outsider"!

I thought we'd had a visitors class in the past but stand to be corrected, the winning car today came from R5 too?

Having been to a couple of events in the past hosted by different regions, it's easy to be disappointed if you don't meet a friendly face. I would like to think that most of us are friendly and approachable so hopefully you won't be put off.

Yeah I know Rob, but one's enough to wash ;)

Yes, my wife's car hasn't been cleaned this weekend!

Liked your Spyder coupe (!), great colour choice too.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the reply.
I was appalled at the guys attitude who greeted me as I arrived - Mr Hindle I believe ?
Don't get me wrong I did meet a few really nice chaps today but this chap seriously needs a long hard stint at charm school.
I'd have been pleased as punch to simply display the 3.2 without the concours entry but to be told my car (really nice red 3.2) had to be parked at the other end of the car park felt a little insulting.
I will simply stay at home for future events.

Si

Alan, think yours better suited to uk climate or as an every day proposition, Spyder great on those rare sunny days though.

Si, whilst I think fred may have missed a couple of diplomacy classes at charm school, he's big enough to not need me to comment on his behalf on here. I think his aim was to put on a well ordered display for everyone's benefit and I'm sure he would not have intended to cause offence.

worth trying us again si, mostly were fine and haven't performed a human sacrifice for years now [:D][;)]

Fred did go to charm school, if I remember correctly it was idi amin's.....[;)]

and rob....looks like you beat me by one point [:'(]......i'll be back as they say
