Oh, and he's listed it twice, so there's two lots of bidding going on. Going to end in tears....

Unfortunately, there are plenty of these clowns about selling dangerous rubbish to unsuspecting novices[]

Crikey. Way not to sell a car!

That'll be coming back to haunt him. I know it's buyer-beware, but if you're knowledgably failing to disclose a list like that there must be some comeback.

Amazing - and all those fail points have arisen in the 12 months since the last MoT !?
I guess the cookie cutters might fetch £200, and you'd have to get £600 for other bits at the current bid. Possible if you're prepared to take the time breaking it.

Always suspicious when I see a car with those box sills on.
Indeed. But sills can also look perfect on the outside with a bit of paint.

Who would ever consider buying a 944 without seeing the inside of the sills? If you're buying, then pictures of the insides would seem a basic to look for.

The internet must have educated potential buyers about the basics? :-(

There will be some out there who will not have been near a Porsche forum and others who will buy from ebay without seeing it. Caveat emptor.

Sent the vendor a polite mail as follows.....

Hi there, I'm very interested in your tidy looking 944, can you tell me if the MOT is due? listing says expires 11/2015. Thank you, Richard

10 mins later I received this response.....

is no mot At the moment I did not do it because i want to sell so...

what an absolute lying bar steward and sausage jockey []This will definitely end in tears

Asked why it was listed twice, got the response "I'm rubbish at Ebay, just bid on the highest price". Now I know.

Asked if there was any rust present. Not heard back on that one.....

OMG. Someone just won it for £1750. Hope it wasn't someone on here.

I complained to Ebay about the double listing. That is against the terms, and if the buyer wanted to I'd say they'd have a clear case for a refund.

If it is anyone here I'd happily pass on the dates/times of my registering a complaint. [;)]

Always good to see eBay listings by people with odd names and no history. I appreciate that everyone has to start somewhere, but to kick off with selling a car? Unless it is a new account as previous accounts had such poor history?

Just read over the complete MOT history and very worryingly, the same excessive corrosion resulted in a fail back in 2005. Imagine how much worse it's got over the last 10 years![:-]
