Hi all,

There is a day out to the Morgan factory being organised by one of the Titanic 944 chaps. There are about three places available, strictly first-come basis.

Monday 20th February

11.00 at the factory in Malvern - convoys are being organised as we speak.

Approx. £5.00 cost for the day.

Grahame has first option if interested as he was keen to go.

E-mail me off-list if you're available.

Be warned that your new Register secretary is planning to turn up in his works van []

Such disgraceful behaviour demands untold mickeytaking until he learns to turn up to 944 events in a 944 [:D]

Might be in the Porsche now,

Needs a crankshaft oil seal, only weeping but it's contaminating the belt.

Do I drive to Malvern and back?

I wouldn't take chances with a belt personally, especially when there is no real point in taking the 944. By that I mean it is just the transport to get there and with the weather likely to be cruddy it won't be an especially fun drive. Mind you the enjoyment question depends what level of purgatory the van is if that's the alternative.

Works hearse then, Fen ? [:D] [:D]

This sounds like it's going to be a 'my other vehicle is a ...' outing at this rate.

Paul (S), if you bring the van, I can do the sizing for your replacement signwriting ...

Rick.

Actually the van is great fun! RWD, light weight over rear axle when empty, huge torque from the deisel and hard-compound tyres pumped up high make for a lot of laughs in the damp.

Call me sideways-king......

What's this about alternative signwriting?[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]In that vein I'll attempt to make sure the hearse (unfortunately 100% self-funded as opposed to works) is clean(ish) with a view to getting you to quite for tidying up the stone chips if I can persuade you to do that?[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I still haven't decided if I will be in Beaky or Jasper.

I am inclined to come in Beaky as, being a 944 event, any pictures that our new leader may want to put forward for PP would look pretty dire if none of us were in our 944s.

While I can appreciate that it would be difficult for Tony with his head off, Paul 1 because of potential catastrophic failure and Paul II because of no car, the rest of us should try to make the effort. [;)]

You're not going to guilt me into it.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I just have to say the word and my car will have no brakes anyway... [8D][FONT=verdana,geneva"]

Deliberately sabotaging your own car so you can't use it is worse than just not using it.

I still haven't decided which vehicle I will be using but, tonight, I will be wafting to the R11 meeting in Jasper - well it is dark so nobody will know either way.

[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]You're absolutely right. I'm just not using it, then. In fact I'm actually looking forward to a trip in the hearse as I haven't used it for anything but the work commute so far. That said I have a trip in it tomorrow to Reading, over the weekend to Essex and to Scotland in early March, so it's about to get used.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I've just had a look where Morgan Cars is. Why would anybody build a factory there? Perhaps Ash trees are in plentiful supply.

While I have little doubt Beaky would enjoy the run, I might go in Jasper after all. [8|]

I'll be in a 944 [:D][:D][:D]

I've spent all week being very nice, taken the batter half away to Bath whilst the boys were on a school trip and was particulalry genteel and romantic on Valentines Day. The result is, I can have the S2 on Monday [:)]

I have to have it back by 4:30pm though (clean and fully fuelled [8|] )

The lengths some people will go to just to drive one of Stuttgart's finest. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Does anyone know the actual address of the factory, I couldn't quite fathom it out from their website.

I'm planning to get there fairly early for some pre tour tyre kicking, maybe as early as 10pm depending on traffic
