Morgan Motor Company

Typed it into Streetfinder and it does look straightforward, if a little far!

See you there,

Confirmed meeting point for tomorrow,

8.30 at Oxford Services, M40 jcn. 8a

Leaving there at about 9.00

[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"] I'm on 07971 832780, apparently your radios should be set to 500? I'm hoping Richard's radio will be set to 4, I do like a bit of Sarah Montague in the morning...

Look forward to seeing you all there,

That's a Roger Roge, I'll be there - assuming I can keep my bout of Man Flue at bay. And I'll be in Beaky.

Should be hitting a rolling liason with Wuf The Magic Turbo at 8:00am (or there abouts) M25/M40 Junction

0788 77 91 91 3 is the number should you feel the need - you can't catch flue down the phone line.

I'm planning to get there fairly early for some pre tour tyre kicking, maybe as early as 10pm depending on traffic

An "interesting" day out (though a damn long way from Essex). One has to wonder how a Company like that actually makes any money. It was obvious that they are good at what they do, it was just the constant "Why on earth are you still doing it like that?" I couldn't get over.

Any road up, Beaky embarrassed himself for the first time since I've had him and arrived home on a flat bed. The replaced lack of water at "The Swan" ultimately led to an increase in engine temperature at about 10-15 miles from the M25. Not a massive increase just mid way up the dial. Putting the heating on had little effect other than to confirm there was water in the system. Once the heating got cold I knew it was time to stop.

I pulled off the motorway at a Pub and flipped the lid. The rear S shaped hose that goes into the heater was making a hissing noise. At least there was some water left. Phoned the RAC and three coffees and a Guinness latter we dragged Beaky onto the back of the lorry.

Beaky starts and runs fine so, it would seem, there is no long term damage and I hope he will be fine when I replace the pipe......... assuming the head or block hasn't distorted. []

Yes, quite an interesting day, only in Britain would you still get a car factory looking like that. Needless to say very different to the Porsche factory.

As ever, one of the highlights of teh day was the convoy to get there. Did anyone else get a wave and a wink from the extreeeeemly foxy lady in the blue Boxster that overtook us on the M40 near Warwick [;)]

Shame our rendezvous timings went a little awry, here I am waiting at Jct10

Overtaken by a Boxster!?! That's sooo not going to happen. [:D][:D][:D] (Well obviously it might at the moment)[:-]

And I bet you didn't wind down the window and shout "I'm driving my wife's car and I must get it back by 3:30."

And I bet you didn't get a ride in a proper lorry.

Didn't drive on the M40 so no, I have got Helen's card though.[;)] Sorry to hear of Beakys maladies, hope there is no long term damage,
Tony
