On the weekend I had my new wheels fitted and I think they have transformed the look of the car.

They do look very nice. I just spotted them in your avatar on the Christmast thread and was going to ask what wheels you had.

I don't really know if the tyres have a slight stretch but I think looking at it they might do.

As far as I'm aware of it's not all that difficult to remove the rear rubbing strip, just needs a bit of filler where the holes are for the rubbing strip to clip into.

Andy is currently on D90s while he has a set of cup2s that he's getting refurbed with black spokes and a silver lip around the edge, I think he just wanted something different.

Those are the exact same wheels I had on my last car. Always wondered what they actually were, I'd assumed they were Speedline replicas.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, I'm really pleased with them, not so sure on the amount of attention the car now gets though but pleased all the same. Just had some bloke with a Yellow Gallardo filling up next to me at the petrol station asking about the car, so must be a fairly interesting car.

Just a wee warning: When I had those wheels on a Lux, I found that the inside edge of the rears could rub slightly under hard cornering"”or even regular cornering if I had passengers in the back. I think they were a tiny bit too big for the car.

They seem to be alright on my car and on the cabriolet they were on before they never seemed to rub on the inside edge, so I wonder if they have a wider track than on the Lux?

The insurance company know all about the mods and because of it the cost is even more ridiculous than before.

Crikey

Can you imagine how good they'd look on (light touch paper, stand back) a black one...

Must stick a post up about my wheels - if I go over big bumps the rear arches sit down on the wheels - to the point they are "peeling" slightly - [:-]

Rolled arches? Certainly wouldn't have been on a Lux.

The rubbing strips are jjust stuck on; no holes to fill. Be careful if you take them off that you don't lift the lacquer or even the paint under them.
