My first 911

dynamic cornering lights are not standard in the gen 2 . The new lights are very much better than the xenons of the gen1 .

Hi

The dynamic cornering lights are not standard spec (or I've been short changed). However the gen 2 lights are much improved on those of the gen 1 car.

Jonathan,
Indeed they are not. I was working on the basis that Paul's question was asking about the comparison between a similarly specced Gen 2 and his C4S. His spec seems to have just about every box ticked so I included the demonic cornering lights in the list![:)] Agree the lights are much better but can't say I notice much difference having the cornering lights, but that could just be my eyesight[:(]

Thanks for the detailed info on the changes by year and gen! What verion of PCM will my 2008MY C4S have? Was the PCM unchanged throughout the gen 1 models?

Sorry for all the questions, i am getting excited now, as i said before my father picks up the new toy on tuesday, i am flying back into the UK next saturday and then get the car in Aberdeen next sunday, yeh!

Paul

A very good reason to get excited![:)] Yours will have PCM 2.1 and as far as I know that did not change throughout the Gen 1 models.

I trust you are referring to the car.....? Keep fingers away from that "PSM Off" switch this time of year?
Yes.....
I've never turned it off, never even had cause too as I find it gives just enough slip to let me know I've just exited my talent zone [&:] [;)]

Gary,
Thought you skiers would be a bit more adventurous! []
Stopped by the Club Stand at the show yesterday for a coffee with Rob, but missed you as by then you were well on your way to France! [8D]
Hope to catch up later on. Break no legs (or anything else) if you can help it! [&:]
Regards,
Clive

Glad you enjoyed the show Clive [:)] sorry to of missed you in the end.

Back safe and sound with nothing broken - except the will to live.. I don't think I "got" the ski bug, just the aches [;)]

Welcome home, it's been quiet around here this week.

Thanks for remembering, yesterday (sunday) was indeed the day i sat and drove my first 911! My father arrived in Aberdeen with the new toy in the middle of the afternoon, he positively roared up from Cambridgeshire to Aberdeen in record time.

First impressions........ wow, i am so happy, the car is better than i could have imagined, oh and the sound with the PSE on, it makes the hairs on the neck tingle. Didnt get much time to play yesterday and spent last night looking through the manual. More fun is in store today............ suffering abit from jet lag though.

I am trying to attach pics...

Can see that from the time of the post! Bit snowy up there today? Say hello to Inverurie from me if you pass through - lived there for a couple of years.
Love the Turbo wheels[:)]

Congratulations Paul, I sincerely hope the car lives up to your expectations... it certainly looks to [8D]
I quite like the Turbo wheels myself [;)]
