Lovelly car

for some warped reason I've grown to prefer the round steering wheel to the triangular (center pieces), other than that fab

Same here, but the MF wheel is only available in that style...
I would of liked the MF wheel, but I also wanted the thicker sports wheel.
heck! I wasted quite a bit of my life pondering that option...[:(]

All personal options for that very reason....

Welcome to the 997 Marc I hope you thoroughly enjoy it and managed to get yourself along to a register event.

The MF wheel was and is available with a thicker rim from around October 2006 for MY2007 cars. I'm still trying to get one but it's an 'exclusive' option on factory-build only. (I'm working on it though!)

I believe the wheel is circular in both cases, unlike the R8!

(Sorry Gary!)

PS I wonder how anyone gets used to driving with a wheel that isn't circular.

Speaking of the R8, according to this months EVO Mag, its got the C4S X51 beat on nearly all counts.

To quote - 'Game's up. Porsche has made 1963 last for 44 years, now its time to move on'

and

'Audi humbles Porsche. A new dawn starts today'

Are we worried yet ?

I think this needs a new topic, Yves, but I like the Autocar summary best: "Porsche Carrera 4S, still the driver's choice but pushed very hard indeed by the R8". It also says the R8 is better than the 911 as an everyday machine, but so are many cars. I'm waiting to see the V10 RS6 Avant next March; that WILL be an everyday machine!

Yves

Not in the mags i've read, view is R8 pushes std C2S or C4S close but not when it comes to handling or dirverr thrills where the 911 wins hands down.

Needs a seperate thread

Spacers - the previous advice is quite correct vis p12 Tequipment brochure specifically excludes your wider wheels using spacers. Sorry!
