i have my dove/copehagen blue s2 with 115k miles safely tucked up in my garage and connnected to my c-tek charger and we are back home on Monday,,,,,
my s2 is a 1990 and was delivered down from Scotland yesterday after 5pm,,,,,
she has a great history with a marine blue interior with leather and velour seats,,, every mot and a thick folder with over a hundred sleeves thats full of bills and not including the mots! and everything works perfectly,,,
lots of preent work done including cambelt in 2014,,new discs,,pads, sensors,,flexis, etc, etc,,new clutch at 80k miles,,,,
i am very happy with her and need to give her a good run when we get home,,,,
i would like to mention that Mark H from the modern classic car co was a pleasure to deal from the very start to the present,,,
after receiving over a least 60-70 hd pics of the car and Marks totally positive atitude also when intially i made him aware that it was Ron Smiths car that i wanted but after hardly any interest in my SL and another SL that was the same year as mine but with 10k miles less then mine and a immaculate car which couldnt sell in the high 7k pounds that i knew then i could not buy Rons car so after calling Ron last friday evening then after that call i then contacted Mark and put a small deposit so not to lose the blue s2,,,,,
My s2 seems lovely and buying this car from Mark really was a very positive,,fun and happy experience and i would recommend him to anyone who wants a nice car,,,,,
i watched my SL disappear on the back of a transporter on a journey to Glasgow and my S2 was brought back the following day but at no stage did i feel anxious or have any "bad" feelings about our deal,,,, our deal was a real pleasure and Marks old style "word of mouth" warrenty was the icing on the cake,,,,,,a very nice chap and a huge co-incidence [ i use no other social media except pcgb and watch forum] that we are both members of the same watch forum so often ended up talking watches instead of cars,,,,,,
pics will be put on soon but i am so glad i have an s2 back in my garage and massive thanks to Mark at the modern classic car company up in Glasgow,,,,,,,,,,
my work for the future is mot in March then i have camchain done and anything else she may need but thats my choice also needs some nice new mats and possibly a trip down to Cool-it ltd to have air con retro fitted next summer but thats i while off and just cant wait to get home monday and get her on he road,,,,,
some pics to follow,,,,,,
thanks jasonp

That interior looks absolutely mint too! Seeing pictures like this makes me think that I really need to treat the interior of mine to some TLC.
Congratulations!

Blade7 with respect ,,,,no secret mate just very simple,,,should anything crop up then my specialists will call Mark and it will get sorted but that wont include any work i have carried out in March because thats my choice,,,,,,blade7 said:jasonp said:should i need it then you will be the first to find out,,,,,,blade7 said:jasonp said:Marks old style "word of mouth" warrenty was the icing on the cake,,,,,

i am aware of how you feel about the mccc and thats fine,,,,
i have tried to be totally transparent with my purchase and i do no spannering whatsoever so the car and any niggles will be posted as i did for many years with my original red s2,,,,,,,,
i hope that clears things up Blade7 and your cars colour was the only other colour apart from the one or two blues that were my top two choices,,,,, i think they look great in white and i would have purchased a white s2 if i was unable to buy a tauben or turkish blue,,,,,,
When we change my wifes and our dd which is the mk5 r32 then Mark will be first person i will call for a trade and an upgrade to a newer vw R,,,,,,,,,
cheers jasonp

many thanks again to everyone and also to Ron S for a lovely pm,,,,jasonp
