Well jasonp, you introduced the matter of the verbal warranty and I was intrigued how it would work. In any case you have some protection from the SOGA. Good luck with the car.

Mine came (back) south from the gents at Modern Classic also, dealing with Stephen was a pleasure! For weekend car I've driven over 2000 miles since August.

Thanks for sharing, Gary

Jason,

Drop me a line when the old girl is in your care - I'd love to see her, although she may put my P&J to shame ....

hey Oli,,,, there be no shaming lol,,,its your car that influenced my choice of s2,,,,,,that blue with silver decals always did it for me even when my ex red s2 was sparkling after the work!

just back from the coast after a few days and she has been tucked up in the garage on a c-tek,,,,,

i am over the East end tommorow and will text you to see if your about before it gets dark,,,,

so very looking forward to you having a good old look and feel of her,,,,

cheers,,,jasonp

i will take her across the motorway as she has not been driven for at least a month and open her up a tad,,,,,,

Have you ordered a Saratoga Sunroof for it Jason - I believe Pilkingtons have a few unordered spares as there was no breakage in the shipment from USA!!

No Chris,,,,but thanks for the info,,

kind regards jasonp

You might want to look at the Saratoga Sunroof thread on the 944 forum - the first one fitted has not been terribly successful!!

Well I can certainly confirm that Jason's new machine is a pretty, pretty thing! Here's the proud new owner with the thing in question.

Nice to see you Jason. And nice to see the car as well! (And sorry for the terrible photos!)

hey Oli,,,,

pics are fine considering how quickly they were taken and not blocking the road up in the process[:D],,,,,

she goes in tommorow to have a new handbrake cable fitted and the handbrake adjusted plus all fluids checked,,,,

After giving her a good first run today,,, she drives so very well,,,,

thanks Oli for having a good old look over her and look forward to you taking her "down the road" and not forgetting pointing out that i did in fact have a digitial radio/cd,,i did think the reception was good even compared to the mercs audio so a bonus,,,,,

cheers jasonp

i dropped my car off at my regular specialist to have the handbrake cable attended to,,,

They went over her and fitted a new handbrake cable and shoes so quite a bit of work with a bill for £250 and thanks Mark at the Modern Classic Car co up in Glasgow for sorting that,,,

i feel even more re-assured now that as well as Oli/zcacogp seeing her ,,my chaps have had her from friday am to sat pm to go over her and sorted the above and a couple of little jobs and she is home,,,

"bill" of clean health and just needs to be driven,,,,,some new mats,,a cigarette lighter with the detail on the front to finish her off until the new year and the better weather,,,,jasonp
