hi do you know you can put a mk 2 golf interior light in the car with time delay so it stays on for a bit and i have a spare side repeater here
paul

Later 944's had a time delay interior light anyway (I suspect Slim's does). My late Mk2 Golf doesn't though ...?

It's a '90 H 8V GTI

Thank mate, i havnt sussed out the interior light thing, it comes on intermittently when you open the doors, its something to do with the door switches.

I got a repeater off the OPC £2.90 i think!!

Almost all the things on the list are tweeks i want to do, none are strictly necessary. Well apart from the Guru Kit [;)]

The switches in my door had a fair bit of corrosion. It caused me alarm and interior light problems when I first got the car. Cleaned up fine with a wire brush (and it's an audi part if it is beyond cleaning)

Just ordered the VDO boost gauge, A/F meter gauge panel 2 holes and silicon vac tubing. And the new rear view mirror!!

Ch ching!!

It's amazing how similar to this my 'list' is.

Only I hadn't totalled up the cost. You've got me extremely worried now slim[:(], but if my bank manger reads this I'm sure he'll be happy.

I took the rear wheels to be re-furbed this morning (had the fronts done last week (gotta save money for the 'list' instead of buying another set of axle stands[;)])

Cleaned my door switches up yesterday which seems to have stopped the 'clicky' relay I was getting when I opened the doors (I posted about this here http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=46697 )

yes its easy to add up, I have manage about 1/2 of whats on the list (mostly the top half), but that will have to do me till next year now. The cars running well, just a few we silly things now to tinker with, and to get it on the rolers for some fine tuning. Some of the stuff i will prob not do like the 3 spoke wheel (i actually really like the standard one). The list has been updated since then and is around £7k BTW!!! £3k of which has been spent already..

£7k, Stop it, you're scaring me [:D]

I'm just sorting out a Promax Level 1a kit with Andrew at the moment, there's no turning back now, all is lost (including this years holiday probably)

Did you ever manage to dig out the part no. for the SAAB dump valve 'cos I think I need a new one before I get the Promax kit.

Its actaully £9k now!!!! But its closer to a wish list than a to do list towards the end of te list!!!

5hit sorry i forgot to look, i will dig the invoice out tonight and get it for you..Promise.

It wasn't me who asked before, I just saw the thread, just speaking to Andrew at ProMax and will probably end up with the DV30 anyway (it's only money [:(], just need to save enough to get to Le Mans)

Is the DV30 an atmospheric DV? I didnt want one of them as the phissssshhhhtt noise they make is severily annoying to say the least.

No, I think it's a recirculating type.

I think it's Essential Styling ones that do the phissssshhhhtt noise.

I'd better double check that though as I don't want a car that sneezes [&:]

Edit : Just checked the ProMax site and it says it's a recirculating bypass valve
