MY05 Colour Coded Vents £1522

There's a couple of snippets in the posts above, but out of those of you who visited places last night, is there anything that really stands out, either good or bad?

I mentioned the side vents being body coloured and the salesman just commented, "no you don't want that". He won't be saying that when they are offering them as an upgrade.
Maybe I am cynical, but I did look in the Tequipment Boxster book.

Thought they looked naff on Midnight blue car at Guildford last night. Mentioned it to Parsche guy there (non salesperson) as being like an MR2 his response was "discuss it with the salesperson and I'm sure something can be arranged". I see a negotiation point arising....

A marketing chap told me at one of this weeks launches that they are "aware within Porsche of the puplic opinion".

Howeve all the Salesmen are still regurgitating the "It's wonderful on xyz colour" line from thier sales manuals...

THe DP at OPC Wilmslow smirked, when I asked about body coloured side vents and advised that they can be painted body colour, but not at the factory! funny how all the demos were some kind of "silver"

I liked the new Boxster except for the air vents on the dash, reminiscent of a ford....

Went to Nottingham. Side vents "" cheap and tacky with a rough texture which will be a sod to keep clean. Even on silver they look like a dodgy re-spray IMHO.

Well lot's of things 'stand out' but 'good or bad' is very subjective.

Those grills are hideous except on a silver car and of course there is the interior. The rest will please most but overall, at the moment, I find it visually uninspiring.

Also it seems to sit about a foot off the floor.

JCB..

[&o]My local North London bodyshop, who are approved repairers for many manufacturers but not Porsche, have quoted me around £150.00 to colour match the rear side grills as and when I get the car.
