MY08 OPC allocations?

Alex, I think they are blagging it when they say earlier, your after PCCB from what I remember... they are going backwards in time slots..
However one slight glimmer is that slots do come up in November and December due to people wanting to wait another few weeks to have a 2008 car ...
I didn't mind so got my order earlier than first expressed at the end of November (flew out on my Birthday[;)])

Ronnie, it was named in the Mr Goss interview in PP, which I cannot find at this time.. I think it was Lincs or Norfolk..

Alex

If your OPC has confirmed an April 08 build slot, how are they going to give you a Dec/Jan/Feb to secure your custom?

There are several options I believe. They could have someone pull out of an earlier slot; they could hunt around and find another OPC with an open slot and take that; they could wait 3 months for PAGs next allocations whereby sometimes they get additional slots.

It all depends though on whether I am prepared to gamble. If I can be assured of retaining my deposit should nothing come up then I am prepared to wait and see. If that deposit is in jeopardy by waiting then I will pull out right now.

[FONT=arial"]Alex, did you get any indication in your conversations when the Turbo S might be coming out? [FONT=verdana, geneva"]

[FONT=arial"]Also, someone mentioned a new OPC in Leicester. Anyone know where the other will be?[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Ronnie, the Turbo S won't be out I'd say until at least 2010. The 998 Turbo should be out around 2012. So I wouldn't wait if I were you.

As for the Turbo Powerkit that is a different matter. I would guess that will be introduced for MY08 cars at some point next year. That along with the aerokit (see link below) and the sports suspension (which won't include PASM from what I have heard).

Gary, recent news is the PCCB shortage should be cleared by the time MY08 cars are being built. So that should no longer be a delaying factor.

Ronnie, I called OPC Solihull yesterday and they said the new OPC Leicester would be opening around October and they already had huge queues for their MY08 allocations. They said all newly opening OPCs would be the same.
