National Event, Eynsham Hall 26/27 August

A very good example of a way forward Mark.... I like the idea of incorporating Forum ID's as well.
As regards Gary's comment about manning Register gazebos at events like this, Penny and I did it on a very ad hoc basis last time around at Eynsham Hall, providing a single point of contact for 911 Turbo Register members to meet and chat. We didn't stay put all day, but one or other of us returned every half hour or so, and we had left a note to that effect. Worked OK in so far as we were able to introduce members to one another, but could undoubtedly be improved upon - some sort of members signing in book perhaps?

Hello Mark,
That sort of thing would be ideal.
I think the club would like to see uniformity in the cards that is why I suggested using notepad and a font that is standard on Windows.
Cheers,

John
This was so missing at Eynsham
never met a Turbo owner all weekend, was placed on the 944 table on Sat night and couldnt find your table as someone had removed the card.......

How about a sheet of headed paper to print onto with the pcgb logo on included with PP once a year a few months before the event ?

Could advise people to scan it, make a copy (are we allowed to ?) and use the copy to print onto incase they make a mistake.

We could even have one we could download maybe ?

It would look a lot more professional than a blank sheet with notepad text on it.

I would need two anyway to get all the mods on [:D]

Hello Nathan,
Good idea but only one draw back I can see is PCGB being scared of someone using their official letter-headed stationery for nefarious purposes.
If the current PCGB font is standard on Windows then you could always have 'Porsche Club of Great Britain' at the top.
Cheers,

Fred
I suggest you contact Louisa at CH. In line with the CoC there may be restrictions as to who can have access to it and how this is used.
Harriet

Sorry guys, but I think this thread is becoming indicative of why some members become disappointed with the club. The idea was to put info on our cars to aid communication. It really does not matter the font is, or whether there is a nice coloured letter head! Anyway...

I agree with Mark.
We all agree that there's a problem, and pretty much on how to fix it, so let's have this debate elsewhere when we can actually do something about the issue.
Thanks for the input.
John
