Hi all
I have recently brought a 944t on a C plate in black, been looking for a while and I love it.
I just brought a set of 911 turbo replica alloys off of a fellow member and I put them on the car and they look fantastic The offset are fron et23 205 x 50 x 17 and the rears 255 x 40 x 17 with an offset of Et15 which I was told would fit by a few people.
After putting these on I noticed that the n/s rear seemed to stick out a little more than the other side, but still had some clearance took it for a drive and all fine untill I decided to put my foot down in 1st I heard a rumbling sound but thought it was the exhaust but on way home and went down a country lane and the road was very bumpy aned then came the noise again and with a glance in the rear view mirror see rubber flapping around. The tyre has hit the arch and there was a little kink in the arch and its basicall ruined the tyre.
I swapped the wheels around to see if it was a different sized alloy but it was the same.
Question is this is there some kind of adjustment that can bring this wheel in, or is there something badly wrong, I had a friend look at it and he said there is no movement in the rear axle, he said it could of had a rear wing replaced in the past and it hasn't been fitted correctly.
Or is ET 15 the wrong offset for a 1986 944t but the other side is fine.
car was motd 3 weeks ago too
Thanks in advance any help much appreciated
