New arrival

That's Baby Lliam all snuggled up in a cot next to me on the ward, all pipes and wires gone and out of ICU. Just another 7 days of antibiotics which need to be administered in hospital and we should be dandy!

So tonight is my first night as a 24 hour mum. No nurses to change exploding nappies.

Thanks again for all your very kind wishes and cards. X

Well I am back in my 'normal' jeans already (probably due to stress and living on edge for a week) but slight swelling in ankles mean I can't get my choos on just yet, so no! ;-)

Julian I will as soon as I get home and use of a computer. Doing all this from the blackberry and haven't mastered how to upload from that yet!

Indeed it does Dougie. Hopefully Lliam will get his first spin in the Porsche next week.

Update: all bloods back clear so nasty infection gone, and blood biochems all normal. Feeding like a monster, and sleeping the rest of the time.

We got to take Lliam out for a walk today as cabin fever setting in stuck in this room for 2 weeks! It was lovely and "normal". Although some jakey wanted a look and I chased her....must learn to be less precious!

So, we're getting home on Sunday with a clean bill of health. Can't wait. Can't wait!!

Thanks again for your very kind wishes, emails, texts etc. Much appreciated and hope you get to meet my superstar soon.

TPIUWAT. (The last letter being translation!)

Really pleased everything is going well.[:)]

What's a jakey? Well this Jakey was about 60 years old, dressed in joggers and a t shirt, pissed out her mind and waving a fag infront of my treasure. So I explained in my finest English that she should eff off away from Lliam.

We're definitely getting home on Sunday! Yee ha! 2 more sleeps* to go.

* sleeps defined as that short spell in between 2 hour feeds, very dirty nappies and cuddles. Its great.

Alison, great news on Lliams progress. Sorry for lack of posts on my behalf but as you know I have been away on holiday, back now though so normal posting is to resume!![;)]

Can't wait to meet him next week[:D]
