Hi,

I have just joined the PCGB and would like to introduce myself to the region, I am hoping to start attending the monthly meetings from February.

My name is Mark and I drive a 87 Supersport which I have had for about 8 months and is my first Porsche, but like many others have been lusting for many years [8D]

I am based in York, having lived here for about 5 years now and I am married with an 18month old son, who seems to have inherited his fathers petol head genes.

I guess I already know some of you, but hope to get to know every one in the coming months.

Happy New Year to you all.

Mark.

Hi mate and welcome . . .

I'm an early man myself but the brother in law has a supersport cabrio that's simply tip top.

All the best and hope you enjoy the club

Welcome to the Yorkshire region Mark.
The club night is the first Wednesday of the month at Monk Fryston which isnt too far away from York . There are a few members who come who have got earlier 911's.
Januarys meet was a bit quiet but its always like that especially just after christmas but hopefully things will be a bit busier with planning drive outs and places to go for 2006
Any input from members new and old is greatly appreciated.

Regards

Neil & Lizzie

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the club. I'm just down the road from you, east of York. If you see a red 964 about, that's me.

I enjoyed the R7 events that were organised last year.

Enjoy your Porsche!

I've also just joined the club - live in a little village overlooking the river near Goole.

Is there someone who I should contact to go on the email list for meetings and club nights please? I missed the Jan one because I didn't realise it was on - all the first wednesdays are now marked on the desk calendar - which pub?

Oh, and I'm STILL looking for that elusive 3.2 CC!

Welcome to Region 7 Burriana

Its the Crown Inn in Monk Fryston. If you live at Airmyn it should be dead easy for you. Just aim back towards Howden then turn left for Selby then Down the bypass towards Leeds. Monk Fryston is the last Village before the A1.
I turn off the M62 at Howden to get there.
Everyone gets there at 8 ish so if your early dont worry we havent forgot you and if their are no Porkers in the carpark again dont worry because we dont like to get em dirty either. [;)]

Regards,

Neil & Lizzie

Tracey c ; i was behind you a while ago in acomb in a 964 turbo cobalt blue , was that you ....???? ( which part of the city are you from ?? ) never seen the car before and i always notice 911's !!!!!!

You'll get it dirty in my dust on the cat & fiddle run Neil [;)]

As there are some new names I thought it's about time I introduced myself as I've been a Porsche owner for some 8 years (6 months off when I had a Lancia Delta intregrale, hence the login name). I live just outside Malton(yes my first one, a 911 3.2 targa was from J Hawkins when he had a small lock up!; hasn't he grown!) and have a 1996 Iris blue (underneath the grime that is ) 993 C2 . It gets used as much as possible particularly going over to Whitby where I work. Give us wave if you see me and I'll promise I'll wave back (even if it's dark). Sorry again that it's taken me so long to come out so to speak.[:)]

seen as others are coming out, what the heck........
i am new member and proud!
hope to attend some days meetings and days out once spring is here
its not that i dont want to get my pride and joy dirty, its the new arrival in the family that is keeping me occupied at the mo
a couple of child seats for a 2yr old and new born may speed my introduction to the group, so any advice would be most appreciated

Wow, lots of cars coming out of the Yorkshire undergrowth [:D] , and a Northallerton car... wave if you see a yellow 1973 2.4S or a black 1967 911 flying about [:D]

Would that be the Red 964 I see in the Hull road area, seen it in the BP garage and heard it go past from the B&Q car park, sounds fantastic. Always makes me want to run home and get mine out [:D]

Hi Keith, it could have been me. Was it quite a long time ago? Like late summer?

If you know Garrowby Hill, I'm quite close to that. We have some fantastic driving around there and no speed cameras! How near is that compared to you?

Tracey

PS: Like you I always notice the 911s, quite bore the family with it!

Mark.

Sure, that's me. I was on my way to the Shell garage for some Optimax and it was all sold out.
