Following on from the dates clashing, Autofarm have been kind enough to reschedule to the weekend following- the 28th November.
If I could ask you to let Rob know if you can still make that date it would be appreciated and were sorry for any inconvenience caused- to girlfriends and the like [;)]

Autofarm visit 28th November (originally 21st)[/b]
I'm pleased to be able to confirm a register visit to the infamous Autofarm in Oxfordshire for Saturday 21st November.
We'll be hosted by Robin Bartholomew and his team, with an opportunity for inspecting and adjusting our own cars as well as viewing their new after-market upgrades.
Being Autofarm there will also be some rare beasts in the workshops, and it will give us all the excuse we need to get the cars out during the winter.
*Please email Rob for sign-up.*
Times and more details to follow.....

Autofarm is just of the M40 Junction 9 towards Oxford, so a great central location within easy reach for members. http://www.autofarm.co.uk/index

Doors will open at 9am, when people will be welcome to join in with a fresh cups of tea, coffee and enjoy the biscuits [:)]
At around 9.30am there will be a quick introduction from Robin who will discuss and explain much about the people and the things available to see during the visit.
You are then very much welcome to meander, free to ask questions and makes observations with the team.

Highlights to be seen during the day include;

*They will have their engine room open with a display of their performance upgrades and much talked Silsleeve engines.

*Their special Projects Dept will be open with something in a semi built state for people to have a good look around at.

*The geometry ramp and a technician will be ready should anyone fancy a quick check or tweak to their suspension. (no charge)

*They'll have someone armed with their diagnostics tester ready to plug in and check some cars (no charge).

*Generally, a very laid back day and a chance to look around the facilities and meet the folks and ask any questions that you may have.

I've sent an email Kenny. This is a planned social day, a chance to meet other owners and club members, even myself and Rob will be there.. It would be great for a good turnout for this, there is no driving event or polishing event involved, so a good alround open day with plenty to drool over.. This event came about due to the interest the 997 owners had at Blenheim in the Autofarm services [:)] garyw

As more details come through, we may add a bit more filling to the event.. like a bite to eat etc.... garyw

The Boxster register went there last year. Very interesting to learn about how they rebuild and up-capacity the M96 engine. No interest, of course, to 997.2 owners as their engines don't go wrong. I'll get me coat.

Martin ( and others) If you can email Rob to indicate your attendance for this event it would be appreciated, I think Autofarm would like to know an estimated of numbers- hopefully to know how many glasses of champers they need[:D] 997@porscheclubgb.com many thanks garyw

Gary - have e-mailed Rob and look forward to joining you. Sorry we didn't get to have a chat at Castle Combe - a great day out! Andy

Guys, sadly this event may have to be postponed/rearranged!!- nothing confirmed yet though. This is due to the date clashing with the workers conference that Rob and myself need to attend on the registers behalf. We will hopefully have more information about this later today. Sorry about this but we were not aware of the clash when we arranged the date. garyw

We are still awaiting the new date for this event, but we also have an offer to visit Porsche cars, so we are just trying to arrange the dates for them, thank you for everyones patience... As they say, like buses!!! garyw
