This event is only a couple of weeks away, so any other people interested in attending could you make sure you have emailed Rob 997@porscheclubgb.com so he can let the guys know how many cakes to order [:D] many thanks garyw

Doors will open at 9am, when people will be welcome to join in with a fresh cups of tea, coffee and enjoy the biscuits [:)] At around 9.30am there will be a quick introduction from Robin who will discuss and explain much about the people and the things available to see during the visit. You are then very much welcome to meander, free to ask questions and makes observations with the team. Highlights to be seen during the day include; *They will have their engine room open with a display of their performance upgrades and much talked Silsleeve engines. *Their special Projects Dept will be open with something in a semi built state for people to have a good look around at. *The geometry ramp and a technician will be ready should anyone fancy a quick check or tweak to their suspension. (no charge) *They'll have someone armed with their diagnostics tester ready to plug in and check some cars (no charge). *Generally, a very laid back day and a chance to look around the facilities and meet the folks and ask any questions that you may have. There is some mention of cakes [;)], so we'll wait and see... Very much a 997 social day in the setting of Porsche excellence garyw

Great to catch up with so many members today, 27 registered and attended- so plenty of 997 in the carparks[:)] A cold day and quite a gaggle of members drinking tea and hanging out by the big blue heater:ROFLMAO:.. Also good to see so many members keeping the Autofarm staff occupied and taking advantage of the very kind offer of inspections and Geo checks from the team... Tom and myself found a lovely pub on the way out and had an impromptu dinner ( so thanks for the company Tom [;)]) I'll have a few pictures to put up later... Nearly the last event of the year and it was getting cold.. just the xmas dinner and the December Breakfast club for any of those that may want to join us... garyw

Gary/Robert Thanks for organising a very enjoyable morning. Although I arrived too late to put my car on the ramp it was great to listen in on/chat with owners being shown around the engine and suspension components of their cars - as well as getting a sense of likely things to keep an eye on the mechanics were clearly enthusiastic and thorough therefore in their assessments which included what I perceived to be sound advice as to balancing preventative maintenance, e.g. exhaust, brake components, versus the perhaps all too familiar recommendation to replace parts.

Gary/ Robert Thanks for organising the day - a good turn out. Gary, nice to catch up for lunch. Twas a very good pub[:D]

Gary/Rob & Autoform, Thanks for organising Saturday and Mike for showing me around the RSR (although if it was mine it would be on the track, not in a bubble) and the future classic le mans car. A nice way to spend a Saturday morning, look forward to making some more 997 events in the new year.

It was really cold Alex!! I took a couple possibly for the magazine but just of the group during the introductions...
