Gmund cars are having an open day on Sunday 5th August between 10.00 am and 16.00 with lunch around 12.30. The workshops will be open to have a look around and a chat to the guys; Andrew and the team will also be giving Swissvax demos during the day, with discounts availble on Swissvax products.

This is also a chance to have an ogle at some spectacular Porsches, including the £650K (no that isn't a typo [&:]) 911 R, if it hasn't gone to its new home yet. A very very rare car indeed, one of four made, really it is unique being the only one with a steel body shell.

I am planning a drive out kicking off about 10ish that will finish at the Gmund site around 11 to 11.30, the start point and route yet to be determined.

I need to let Andrew have an idea of numbers before the event, so please sign up here, or talk to me at the next club meeting on Wednesday.

I have worked out a route that takes in some lovely N. Yorks views. The meeting point is the Waitrose Supermarket car park in Otley [60 Westgate, Otley, LS21 3AS] at 10.00am for a 10.30 set off. We will leave Otley and head through Ilkley, Skiption, Grassington and Pately Bridge finishing off at Gmund in Knaresborough. The drive should take about an hour.

This linky contains the full details. The map below shows the route marked out in red:

I was out yesterday looking at a route for the drive, and I pretty much went past the door, which is a little odd, but hey it's an opportunity to have a group blast which is always nice.

Hi,

Is there still a place available? I've got a free day on Sunday, and a blast around N Yorkshire sounds like fun [:D]
