Quick update on the new car. It took a little while due to work commitments but I eventually got my car back to Strasse for them to check the gear box chatter. This was after getting opinions from my local indy, OPC, local PCGB members and of course your good selves. Many thanks to all. It turns out (as suspected) the dual mass flywheel was completely shot. Strasse fitted a new one and also put in a new clutch while the transmission was out. I paid for the clutch (at trade price) and the labour was FOC - can't say fairer than that. The gearbox chatter has now completely gone. Had the car parked under cover when I was in the OPC while in picking up some new wiper blades. Had a 997 and a Cayenne parked either side, jumped in the 993 started her up blipped the throttle and set both their alarms off . Guess that's the Dansk mufflers and cat bypass!
