Fen, you blummin southerner - his wipers are broke, and you know what the weather is like up there [8|]

Of course, I feel such a fool. It rains 370 days a year in Glasgow. I've clearly been living down south for far too long.

Thats simply not true and you know it, 367 days at the very most..........

I went out today (in between the snowstorms) and popped the wiper rod back on. Motor end was pretty tight, but wiper end (which was bone dry) pops on much too easily..... will see how long it lasts, but it looks like I'll be tossing a good £7 at the old girl already. I can get 3 Haggis Leg Suppers and a reconditioned Sporran for that much! [:(]

Seven whole pounds????

I knew it was gonna cost to run it, but this is ridiculous....may just sell it!

Humble pie time, it isn't £7. Having just called my OPC afer mine popped off on Christmas night in a blizzard [:(] I was told it is a stock item (they have 2, whew!) and it costs £4.85. I might just buy both and keep one in the door pocket.

Looking at things more closely I see the reason they fail is because the wiper arm end of the driver's side one (short one, apparently) gets washed by runoff from the screen so doubtless grit gets in and wears the nylon away. Top design Porsche, never ocurred to put a rubber boot on there?

Yeah - it's fairly obvious why they fail when you look (where is the head-slap smiley when you need one).

I got both sides for £15 as I was away on business and the wife had to pop in and collect..... the OPC was able to tell me there was a long and a short one, but not which side each was specific to (insert another head-slap smiley here).

Just a quick plug for the 944 section in this months Porsche Post. My first bit in print covers this exact subject [:)][:)][:)]
